Raised houses in Uptown, the Marigny, and Tremé pull humid air up through the floor from the crawl space. Carpet on those floors holds moisture from underneath, which is why it smells musty even when nothing was ever spilled on it.
Student and short-term turnover
Uptown near Tulane and Loyola empties and refills every August, and the Marigny and Bywater run on short stays year-round. Those are the two fastest-souring carpets in the city, and both need a clean between occupants, not once a year.

Yes. Rooms are priced individually at $49 each with a $99 job minimum, so a two-room job lands at the minimum. We'll also tell you honestly if a rug pad over the wood is doing more harm than the carpet is.
I'm a short-term rental host in the Marigny with a same-day turn. Is that possible?
Often yes, but the honest answer is the dry time. Carpet is walkable in about 2–4 hours with our air movers, so a morning clean works for an afternoon check-in — a noon clean for a 3pm check-in does not. Book the early slot.
